Much of my inspiration comes from my own travels. I have cooked aboard sailboats in the Gulf of Mexico, at a remote research station on Baranof Island in Alaska, beach-side in South Africa, in a tiny apartment in Munich, in an ill-equipped kitchen in rural England, in a Greek villa overlooking the Aegean Sea, and at primitive campsites in Texas. No matter where I am, I always bring the spirit of adventure to my cooking.
