A wedding is one of the most important occasions in a person's life. More than a union of two individuals, weddings join families, friends, and even communities, and they mark major personal transitions. I take whatever time is necessary to meet with my wedding clients and get to know them. I listen to their requests and discuss what they envision for their receptions.
How do you personalize the weddings and events you cater?
During the initial consultation, I discuss with my clients what their goals are
for their parties, bringing my considerable experience to the table to help
formulate menus that meet their needs. I particularly like to encourage the
brides and grooms I work with to incorporate dishes that reflect their cultural
heritage. Family members are usually delighted to rediscover the flavors of
their childhood, and the newlyweds are able to carry on traditions or create new
ones with menus that incorporate such foods. For instance, we have included
Persian, South African, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Scottish, and even
Scandinavian elements that married beautifully with "Nuevo Texas" cuisine. Some
clients have requested that we use some of their family recipes when designing a
menu. We love that.
Do you provide wedding cakes?
We do prepare lovely desserts, but refer our wedding clients to bakers who
specialize in wedding cakes.
Can you recommend a venue for our reception?
Yes, I am familiar with most local venues, as well as some unusual ones off the
beaten path.
